Historic Works, Restorations & Arts

One of the more difficult, yet enjoyable projects has been the Lighthouse Point at Amelia Island Plantation, in Northeast Florida. There we created and installed one of the heaviest gates in the United States. The two piece gate weights approximately 1.6 tons per gate and is a inspiration of the famous gate from the Simmon Edward’s House in South Carolina. The original gate has a wooden frame with the interior designs made of wrought iron. We made the entire gate frame and ornamental design from pure wrought iron, making the gate much heavier than the original work of art.
